Preparing for a Successful Leadership Transition

Your long-time director or dean announced their departure from your organization. Everyone is in a little bit of a panic. For many employees, this is the only library leader they’ve ever worked with. Presenter: Sam Passey is an advocate for leveraging libraries to support community development, Sam Passey is the Associate Dean for Library Services at Colorado Mountain College, previously he was the Director of Uintah County Library and Heritage Museum in Northeast Utah. An experienced teacher, Mr. Passey previously taught courses in the Organization of Information, Archives, and Building Library Facilities for Emporia State University. He is a frequent radio and webinar guest on the subject of all things libraries. He has a Masters in Library Science from the University of North Texas, and a B.S. in Social Studies Education from BYU-Idaho.
