This presentation will share skill-building self-care strategies library managers can adopt to handle interpersonal relationships and the increased demands of library services following the Covid-19 pandemic. Administrators will put the traditional and safe aside, to open possibilities of vulnerabilities within their teams.

Participants will:
• Learn to identify signals of stress and barriers that leads to day-to-day burnout
• Understand methods to mitigate stressors caused by everyday life and managing a team
• Learn how to adopt self-care techniques to utilize, teach, and empower your team

Presenter: Nicole Bryan is a Library Information Supervisor at Brooklyn Public Library, the fifth largest library system in the United States. She has spent her career within the social services arena, developing programs and meeting constituents’ needs. Currently, Nicole assesses the delivery of library services, employing trauma-informed methods, to transitional populations in public library branches and homeless shelters in Brooklyn, New York. She received her MLS degree from Long Island University.
