STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) isn’t just for nonfiction these days. STEM topics are showing up everywhere, from traditional nonfiction to picture books, fiction, graphic novels, board books, and more, and young readers are drawn to their innovative content and presentation.

The best STEM books stimulate readers’ curiosity and critical thinking skills and showcase science and technology in a way that’s fun and accessible.

At the end of the program, participants will:
• gain an overview of current STEM titles for young readers in fiction and nonfiction
• learn how to promote STEM collections to children, families, and educators
• gain new program ideas using STEM books
