Every staff member at the library has a different perspective, or frame. This means change in a library affects different roles differently. A library shelver experiences bigger change when reorganizing titles than a cataloger. A manager may feel the difference with a new city council, than a reference librarian. How do we understand those frames to make organizational change? This webinar, aimed at library leaders, seeks to determine motivations and priorities of staff by following the four-frames model. It will suggest questions to ask and ways to build common ground and organizational culture.

Presenter: Carrie Rogers-Whitehead worked in libraries for nearly a decade and now consults and trains librarians. She is the author of the book Teen Fandom and Geek Programming with Rowman & Littlefield and her new book Digital Citizenship: Teaching and Practice from the Field comes out in fall 2019. She is the founder of Digital Respons-Ability, a mission-based company that educates students, parents and educators on digital citizenship. She is also a college instructor, event planner who regularly writes on technology for various media outlets.
