2018 is in the books, but have you taken time to step back and assess what happened in those books? Puns aside, 2019 is only days old but everyone is already rushing to make predictions for the coming year. Reading resolutions are being set, and hot upcoming titles are already being promoted. But, here’s the thing, while it is fun to start looking ahead, the dawn of a new year actually is the best time to look back.

In this interactive and informative webinar, Becky will walk you through the year that was in adult fiction highlighting the important news stories and award winners. She’ll also point out what larger trends have emerged from 2018, and what direction those trends will take us in our work with our patrons into 2019.

Becky Spratford is a Readers’ Advisor in Illinois specializing in serving patrons ages 13 and up. She trains library staff all over the world on how to match books with readers through the local public library.
