Ask a Librarian offers free virtual reference assistance to all Florida residents… including your library’s patrons! This video will show you how to embed the Ask a Librarian logos and widgets available on the Ask a Librarian Link to Us page (or any of our Marketing pages) in your WordPress blog or website. Ask a Librarian’s Link to Us options can be seen at http://info.askalibrarian.org/link-to-us. And for a real-life example of how a widget can look on your library’s WordPress page, check out Monroe County Library’s awesome WordPress site at http://www.keyslibraries.org!

Not a member? You can still add the logos or widgets to your website, but we’d love to talk to you! For more information on participating in Ask a Librarian, please visit http://info.askalibrarian.org/reasons-to-join/become-a-member. Already a member? We have many enhanced features that you can implement today. Contact AaL staff to find out more.

Got Issues?
If you encounter any difficulties with the widget displaying, you may want to download an iframes compatibility plugin to assist with that, as WordPress and iframes have a solid history of not getting along. To do this, go to your Dashboard –> Plugins –> Add New, and enter iframes in the search bar. You may need to experiment to find one that is compatible with your WordPress version, theme, and settings.
