This class helps public and academic library managers review existing space and reallocate it to meet current service needs and changing public expectations. The class can also help those libraries that want to update their look.
Students will learn:
- A process for using data to analyze space needs
- How to collect, present, and analyze the data
- How to make decisions for change
The class provides practice in using a space review and reallocation model and associated workforms. It also provides a library walk-about activity for hands-on learning and discussion of use of space.
