Audio Books and OverDrive: Keeping It Simple For Your Users

Date(s) - 02/12/2013
10:30 am - 11:30 am

Free library books on your portable audio player!  Who wouldn’t want that?  If your library provides Audio Books from OverDrive, all your patrons have to do is take them.  Well, almost.  In real life, it’s a bit complicated getting those books from the web site to an audio player. Especially an iPod.

Al Carlson’s webinar will give you the tools and skills you and your patrons need to make the task easy, whether the audio player is an iPod, a WMA player, or a plain MP3 only device.

And he’ll throw in resources you can use after the webinar and share with your patrons.

Al Carlson ~ Biography

Al Carlson has been working in libraries since 1959, professionally since 1970. During that time he has watched technology go from non-existent to all encompassing.  And libraries have consistently been behind the curve.

His goal now is to help libraries play like Wayne Gretzky, and “Skate to where the puck will be, not to where it’s been.”

His career has included public service, tech services, automation, and management at public, school, academic and special libraries.
