Have you heard the term “BIBFRAME” but have no idea what people are talking about? Are you wondering how BIBFRAME will change libraries? Do you wonder what big changes may be on the horizon for YOUR library? In this session, we’ll talk about BIBFRAME, look at the impact of BIBFRAME on libraries, why we are (likely) moving to BIBFRAME, and why now is the time to start learning about BIBFRAME. No technical services experience is needed for this session which may be of interest to directors, managers, and any library staff interested in data, technical services, or significant changes on the way that will impact all libraries!
Presenter: Robin Fay is an Instructor and Metadata Librarian who has worked with academic, public, community college libraries and multistate consortias on cataloging and metadata projects for Orbis Cascade Alliance, the Digital Public Library of America, the University System of Georgia, and SkillsCommon.
