Join Cheryl Heywood, Executive Director, to learn more about holistically leading an organization by fostering continuous improvement while partnering in communities and regions to meet the needs of patrons and residents.

As a result of this program, attendees will:
• Learn how to foster and develop a continuous improvement mindset
• Learn how to create foundational documents for all employees that support Strategic Direction foci: Local communities; Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; and Children Birth to Five
• Determine a path forward to implement new strategic initiatives

Presenter: Cheryl Heywood is the Executive Director for Timberland Regional Library (TRL), a public library district employing 255 staff at 29 libraries within Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific and Thurston counties in southwest Washington State. She has worked for TRL in various leadership positions since 1996, including Senior Library Manager at the Olympia Timberland Library. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Concordia University and a Masters in Library Studies degree from McGill University. She is originally from Montreal, Canada and she became a United States citizen in 2008.
