Limited budget? Little Time? Have Big Dreams? Check, check, and check! Need some help? Public libraries and museums often share similar missions to engage community members with meaningful ideas and thought-provoking community engagement. In short, libraries and museums both work to fuel people’s minds with information and inspire curiosity. By working together, we can leverage our resources to multiply outreach efforts. Museums, Historical Societies, and Libraries have a lot in common.
As a result of this program, attendees will learn:
● Brainstorm potential Museum and Historic Society Partners in your Community
● Learn how cultural organizations (libraries, museums, and historical societies) can coordinate in community engagement efforts
● Increase your relevance by digging into the heart of what matters to the communities you serve.
● Learn strategies to create a shared language to work effectively with your professional “cousins”
