Creating Your Own Mobile App

Nearly everyone has a cell phone these days and everyone has an app for that. Have you ever wanted to create you own app? Now, you can even if you don’t have a any programming experience. We’ll take a look at several app building services and walk through the process of creating an app on each one. Even if you have a mobile-friendly website, apps can be the perfect solution for special events, book sales, or ongoing programs at the library. Additionally, after this workshop attendees will be able to assist users – both hobbyists and small business owners how to create their own apps.

Biography ~ Kira Smith
Kira Smith is a virtual reference provider for Florida’s Ask A Librarian Service. She has Master’s Degrees in Library Science and Education. Kira is a former elementary school teacher and childbirth educator. She has lived in New York, Louisiana, Texas and Florida. She enjoys teaching, technology and travel.
