Presenters:
Megan Schadlich is the creator and director of The Healing Library and author of Cooking Up Library Programs Teens and Tweens Will Love: Recipes for Success. She’s worked in public libraries in 3 states for over 13 years and is a two-time winner of YALSA’s Writing Award. She loves to geek out about creative programming, beer, food, punk rock, and of course, David Bowie.

Amanda Standerfer’s passion is helping libraries and nonprofit organizations advance so they can create meaningful impact in their communities. Since 2002, Amanda’s consulting practice Fast Forward Libraries has worked with libraries and nonprofits on strategic planning, fundraising, organizational development, and capacity building. Amanda is currently the Director of Community Engagement for The Urbana (IL) Free Library. She has 15 years of experience at various positions in public libraries. She also has 7 years of experience working in the philanthropy sector. She has a BA and MA in History from Eastern Illinois University and a MLIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Amy Dittmeier is a public librarian living and working in the Chicagoland area. They graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with their MLIS in 2016 and has been in public libraries ever since. Amy also writes book reviews for Booklist and Shelf Awareness. In their spare time, they’re constantly working on their TBR pile, gardening, and (of course) playing D&D.

Jez Layman is a librarian, public speaker, and job coach who loves teaching and empowering others to embrace their creativity and strengths. She has taught at libraries, schools, and community centers about crafts, astrology, and life skills, and her job hunting guides have been shared over 250,000 times worldwide. She has a deep love for audiobooks and a spreadsheet for every occasion.

Patricia Spencer is the Public Information Officer for the Lewis & Clark Library. She graduated from Carroll College with a B.A. in History and went on to complete a M.A. in English Literature and 20th Century US History from Oregon State University. Patricia has been an Adjunct member of the faculty in the Department of Communication Studies at Carroll College since 2004.
