Given the high expectations of children entering kindergarten, librarians must engage preschoolers and caregivers while simultaneously preparing them for what lies ahead.

In this webinar, you will learn about Kindergarten Readiness (KR), then find out how you can put research to practice. Discover new ways to align library programs and services with the bench-marks kids need before their first day of school. Additionally, many in-person programs were adapted to virtual platforms during the Coronavirus pandemic.

You will leave this program with actionable ideas for in-person and virtual programs, to help your library’s children get ready for kindergarten and beyond.

Learning Objectives:

• Develop a clearer understanding of Kindergarten Readiness and the current research, both at a state and national level
• Discover various preschool programs (both in-person and virtually) that provide opportunities for children ages 2-5 to develop the well-rounded foundations necessary to succeed
• Learn ways to engage parents in their child’s growth and education through resources, programs, and services

Register here for the live webinar or to have early access to the recording when it becomes available – all in this place! No need to register in a separate place for recording access.
