Instagram is one of the best ways to share everything you do at your library. Learn about ways you can maximize your library’s Instagram account to reach new patrons as well as entertain your current ones. We’ll cover some simple tools for making your pictures sparkle as well as apps to help you manage your account. We’ll also discuss new features, like Instagram stories and Instagram Live, and how you can use them to share your library’s events and collection.

Biography ~ Ginny Mies

Ginny Mies is a librarian at San Mateo County Libraries in Northern California. She oversees e-resources as well as training for staff. Previously, she managed the library program at TechSoup, a global nonprofit that provides technology donations and training for public libraries and nonprofits. Before the library world, she was a tech journalist where she learned to make on-the-fly smartphone videos for breaking news stories.
