In this session, we will discuss how the Campbell County Public Library System’s (VA) Public Services Librarians manage the main and branch libraries while also providing valuable services to their patrons through reference, technology assistance, outreach, collection development, and programming.

Attendees will:

  • Develop a functional understanding of the duties of the Public Services Librarian
  • Learn about the benefits, and difficulties, of the PSL position
  • Learn best practices in time management to be successful in a PSL position

Dana Bomba ~ Biography
Dana Bomba is a Public Services Librarian and Branch Manager for the Campbell County Public Library System in Central Virginia. Her primary focuses are daily branch operations, collection development, adult programming, and technology instruction. This is her first professional position in a library and she is grateful for the collaborative experiences she’s had so far!
