Organizational success occurs when leaders create cultures around a shared purpose, employee engagement, and utilizing individual differences to continually grow and improve. This program will help leaders implement the following strategies into their workplace: creating and managing workplace cultures, management strategies to capitalize on diversity, and addressing behavioral patterns.

As a result of this program, attendees will:
• Explain factors that contribute to workplace cultures
• Describe and understand how to implement strategies that can be used to create, change, and improve workplace culture
• Identify types of diversity in the workplace
• Understand various management strategies that can be utilized capitalize on personal differences to create an effective work unit

Presenter: Ruthann Cunningham is an Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration in the Department of Organizational Leadership at Utah Valley University. Prior to being a full-time professor, Ruthann was a Population Health Network Engagement Leader and consultant for Intermountain Healthcare.  She consulted with five of the largest Utah healthcare systems and over 25 independent provider clinics on population health strategy, value-based care, data, analytics, and community leadership. Ruthann led initiatives to train leaders on ways to reduce healthcare costs and improve patient outcomes. In addition, she collaborated on the initial startup of a not-for-profit generic pharmaceutical company, now known as Civica RX.  Ruthann earned a BS degree in Fitness and Wellness Management and MS degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University. She has a Doctorate in Health Science (DHSc) with an emphasis in Leadership and Organizational Behavior from A.T. Still University.
