Putting out Big Fires: How to Prepare for Unexpected Problems

Date(s) - 03/07/2017
10:30 am - 11:30 am

As librarians, we are constantly juggling project and service planning along with our day-to-day activities. That’s why it’s so easy to be surprised by unexpected, difficult events like the death or major illness of a staff member, the failure of a major technology system, or damage to the building. At times like these, the entire staff must pull together to get through. The last thing you want is to be unprepared.

While administrators or managers may be more interested in this program, any library staff member can benefit from this interactive webinar.

Participants will:

  • Explore major issues that our libraries have faced and could potentially face
  • Learn to develop tools to fall back on in case of such emergencies
  • Discuss the emotional impact on staff and self and how to cope

Register here for the live webinar or to have early access to the recording when it becomes available – all in this place! No need to register in a separate place for recording access.
