Kick off the new year right! Learn more about the quantified self movement. Quantified self is “self-knowledge through self-tracking.” It is where Fitbit, Google Glass, mobile apps and big data intersect. Quantified self includes tracking all kinds of activities from exercise, diet, mood, weight, sleep, reading, and work in order to understand and improve. In this webinar we’ll look at some apps that can help you and your patrons enhance life and work. We’ll also look at some of the drawbacks including privacy concerns.

Kira Smith is a virtual reference provider for Florida’s Ask A Librarian Service. She has Master’s Degrees in Library Science and Education. Kira is a former elementary school teacher and childbirth educator. She has lived in New York, Louisiana, Texas and Florida. She enjoys teaching, technology and travel.
