Nancy Dowd – Senior Manager LibraryAware
Nancy Dowd was working as director of marketing for the New Jersey State Library when a friend emailed her a job posting for a person to lead the development of a new marketing product NoveList was creating. Within six weeks, she had said good bye to the beautiful Jersey shore and moved to Durham, NC, to lead the development of LibraryAware. She is the co-author of ALA’s bestselling book, Bite-Sized Marketing, Realistic Solution for Overworked Librarians and The M Word blog. A popular speaker, Nancy has spoken around the world helping libraries improve their marketing and advocacy efforts. She is a recipient of the John Cotton Dana Award and serves on ALAs Public Awareness Committee.
