You know how it goes…you show up promptly when the meeting is supposed to start. You have your pen and paper or electronic device for taking notes and you’ve cleared your mind so you can really be present.

The only problem is, no one is really sure why anyone is even at the meeting – because no one knows where the meeting is headed!

And therein lies the problem with not having an agenda. Instead of accomplishing whatever someone had in mind when they first scheduled the meeting, you look at your watch and find that 30 minutes have passed and all you know so far is who watched what on Netflix last night. What a time drain – and “waste of time” is one of the most common responses people have when asked why they dread meetings.

But your meeting doesn’t have to be that way. In this session, we’ll not only talk about the importance of the agenda, we’ll discuss exactly what an agenda should include and how it should be utilized.
