Has anyone ever said anything to you that was inappropriate? Have you received a comment that made you feel uncomfortable? You are not alone! In a world of inclusivity and multi-generational awareness, empower yourself to handle inappropriate comments from patrons and staff.
Join Rosie Clark for an engaging and interactive 60-minute online training. She will review the basics of human communication, explain the impact of emotions when sending and receiving messages, describe how to handle or avoid potential conflict, and identify helpful ways to handle inappropriate comments. Remember, it doesn’t have to feel awkward or aggressive to speak up. You just have to be ready and practice what to say!

Attendees will learn how to:
● Asses what comments are inappropriate and why
● Identify how inappropriate comments make you feel
● Confidently deliver responses with grace and authority
● Establish procedures for handling future comments
