No matter your feelings about (Artificial Intelligence) AI is here to stay continuing change the way we work, communicate, and the knowledge around us! No where are those changes more visible than in the media and information sources. This one-hour workshop aims to empower library staff with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complexities of media in the age of AI, ensuring:

– they can provide informed and valuable guidance to their patrons.
– understand the capabilities of modern AI
– how to use AI to evaluate information, and
– educational ideas for patrons of all ages to help gain understanding of AI

Presenter: Robin Fay is an Instructor and Metadata Librarian who has worked with academic, public, community college libraries and multistate consortias on cataloging and metadata projects for Orbis Cascade Alliance, the Digital Public Library of America, the University System of Georgia, and SkillsCommon. Her interests are in immersive technologies and the intersection of machine learning, data, and us! Robin is also an avid designer and you can find her on instagram and elsewhere as @georgiawebgurl
