About

Florida Library Webinars is a program of the Florida Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services.  It is managed by the Tampa Bay Library Consortium in collaboration with Florida’s other multi-type library cooperatives (NEFLINPLANSEFLIN, and SWFLN).

We provide training for staff working in all Florida libraries.  The training is focused on technology skills, customer service, and other personal and professional development.  Live training is available most weekdays, and recorded content is available on-demand through Niche Academy.

How do I access the archives on Niche?

Our 700+ library of archived webinars are now on Niche Academy.  

You must join the Florida Library Webinar Academy on Niche Academy to access the recorded sessions.

If you already have a Niche Account, sign in to your current account and request access to Florida Library Webinars.   

If you are new to Niche, you must create an account. The good news is – there are more than just Florida Library Webinars on Niche! Other Florida training from PLAN, SWFLN, and TBLC is available in the Florida Library Webinars Academy.    

Few Key Tips:

  • Florida Library Webinars is an LSTA-funded project available only to Florida library staff.
  • You must use your work email, so we know you are a Florida library employee. 
  • Most library domains are pre-approved for access, so you can get in. If your library domain name hasn’t been approved yet, we will manually approve your request within 24 hours.

When will I receive login information for a webinar I am registered to attend?

We are using Zoom to manage registration. You will receive an email when you register and a reminder 24 hours before the session. 

Who can attend webinars offered by Florida Library Webinars?

All staff working in Florida libraries can attend webinars offered through Florida Library Webinars.

What types of training are offered by Florida Library Webinars?

Florida Library Webinars focus on technology training, customer service, management/supervisory skills, personal and professional development, and reference skills.

How can I access Florida Library Webinar content?
Do I receive a certificate for completing an FLW course?

For live sessions, We do not offer certificates. However, after a live session, you will receive an email confirming you attended a webinar.

This email will act as a certificate of completion.

In Niche Academy, there is an option to download a certificate when you complete a tutorial.

If your library is missing from the list, choose None of the Above from the list, and we will contact you to get the information we need to add your library to our database.

Note this is a Florida project. If you are outside of Florida, do not register.
