This program is designed for library employees looking to improve their ability to serve and communicate with the Spanish-speaking community.
With a focus on common Spanish words and phrases specifically selected for library situations, the webinar will equip participants with the essential linguistic knowledge to help patrons perform daily tasks and to more effectively interact with users.
Through interactive exercises, conversational practice, and simulation scenarios, attendees will gain confidence in their Spanish communication skills, fostering a more welcoming environment for all library users.
As a result of this program, attendees will:
• Learn key Spanish words and phrases relevant to the library environment, such as terms related to book lending, cataloging, and general library information
• Practice communicating in Spanish in typical situations library employees may face, such as helping users find books, answering questions about services, and explaining library policies
