Google Form Awesomeness

Google Forms is awesome, but you already knew that. It’s great how responses feed directly into a spreadsheet for easy access and analysis. You can create assessments, surveys, checkout forms, and quizzes. You can also poll colleagues, collect information from users, and keep logs. If you dig into the settings, you can do even more! Let’s take a look at things like limiting response length, pre-filling responses, tweaking confirmation messages, locking a form with a passcode, and authoring interactive stories. Let’s also explore add-ons that can send email notifications, turn off a form automatically, randomly pick names, and more.

Presenter: Tony Vincent is a seasoned educator and innovator living in Iowa. Tony’s journey began 26 years ago when he started teaching fifth grade in Nebraska. In 2001 his class piloted using Palm Pilots as 1:1 devices and helped other teachers bring technology into their classroom to boost creativity, curiosity, and learning. That’s how his Learning in Hand website started.  He later became his school’s technology coach, empowering learners to create media designed to reach an authentic audience. In fact, his school was one of the first to publish a podcast for kids and by kids in 2005. Tony’s passion for education and technology eventually led him to become a self-employed entrepreneur, speaking at conferences and working with educators and students worldwide.  Currently, Tony helps out his local school as a substitute teacher, and he continues to be a speaker and consultant. He is probably most known for posting handy resources and tips on social media.

Whether he’s in the classroom, on the conference stage, or onscreen in a webinar, Tony’s energy and passion for education are infectious, and his insights and expertise are invaluable to anyone looking to bring innovation and creativity to their practice.
