The ‘Must Do List’ for Leaders

Expand your horizons and discover ways to be your best self in your leadership role. Whether you’re new to your position as a leader or have been a leader for some time, you’ll find new things to love about serving in a leadership role. True leaders are not only focused on the outcomes and productivity of the organization but are just as committed to cultivating and developing their staff and their own personal growth. In this session, current and new leaders will learn the ‘must do list’ for leaders that will set them up for continued success.

Attendees will learn how to:
● Strategically and competently lead their team and/or organization
● Enhance their personal leadership style with a customized leadership development plan
● Develop and sustain effective leadership throughout all levels of the organization
● Set themselves, their team and their organization up for success to foster efficient performance and positive outcomes

Presenter: Clenise Platt is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a gifted leader, communicator, strategic thinker and creative who partners with senior leaders, executives and teams to develop, plan and execute dynamic and innovative programs. Her areas of concentration include leadership and board development, employee engagement, talent development, customer service, and culture cultivation to help increase employee development and organizational performance. Clenise has authored several books and articles focused and has been published in multiple publications including the Virginia Libraries Journal. Her love affair with libraries began as a young girl and has continued over the years with her work as a tour docent and storyteller at her local libraries, a library advisory board member, and working as a strategic talent development and training coordinator. She completed the Library of Virginia’s Library Management Academy and is currently a 2024 cohort of the Virginia Library Leadership Academy. Clenise’s commitment to literacy resulted in her writing the book, Keep Your Chin Up, which was illustrated by local high school students and became a nonprofit organization which develops collaborative community projects and raises scholarship dollars for students.

Clenise is a sought-after speaker and has spoken at multiple conferences including the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women NGO Forum. She is also the host of the Plattinum Passport Podcast available on podcast platforms across the web and at www.theplattinumgroup.com.
